Part-Time A Level Maths Tutor – Islington

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time A Level Maths Tutor in Islington to join a vibrant and supportive secondary mainstream school. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on students’ academic progress. The successful candidate will begin as soon as possible and will work closely with the Mathematics department to deliver high-quality tuition to A Level students.

As a Maths Tutor, you will be responsible for providing tailored support to small groups and individual students, helping them to consolidate knowledge, build confidence, and achieve their target grades.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver engaging and effective A Level Maths tuition in line with the school’s curriculum.
2. Support students both in and out of the classroom with focused intervention sessions.
3. Track and monitor student progress, adapting teaching strategies as required.
4. Collaborate with classroom teachers to align tutoring sessions with lesson plans.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in teaching or tutoring A Level Mathematics.
2. A recognised qualification in education and training, ideally with QTS or equivalent.
3. A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
