About the Role

Our Social Science department is expanding, and we are looking for an additional team member to join as an A Level Lecturer in Psychology, Sociology, & Criminology. The role involves delivering, marketing, and assessing the Social Sciences A Level Pathway, along with some course leadership and internal verification responsibilities.

Candidate Requirements

• A relevant Degree or equivalent qualification to at least Level 6
• A Teaching Qualification to national standards
• A Level 2 qualification in English, Mathematics, and ITQ or willingness to work towards them
• Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within an FE environment

Main Duties

• Plan and deliver teaching, learning, and assessment effectively
• Deliver teaching to a consistently good or outstanding standard
• Assess learners' work accurately against awarding body criteria
• Utilize resources effectively to ensure positive learning outcomes
• Support learners through personal tutoring and progress monitoring
