Job summary

East Coast College in Lowestoft is seeking a Teacher of English for the Sixth Form. You will deliver engaging lessons across A Level English Language and English Literature, inspire academic ambition and support learners to progress to higher education and future careers.

This part-time role (0.3 FTE) offers a fixed-term contract until 31 December 2026, with a Lecturer Scale salary (£35,112.48 - £41,600.00 FTE) and benefits such as a generous pension, free gym and swim, and campus discounts.

Qualifications

• Degree in English, English Literature, English Language or related subject.
• Recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• Experience teaching English at Level 3 or A Level.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across A Level English Language and/or English Literature.
• Contribute to curriculum development, learner support and enrichment activities.
• Assess learner progress and implement strategies to improve achievement.
