A-level - Computer Science ECT

Prospero Teaching is looking for a FULL TIME Computer Science ECT Teacher to work for a Sixth Form in Kensington starting immediately! Excellent understanding of assessment and differentiation is essential order to enable the young adults to make progress at the best possible rate. You will need to have a strong understanding of the KS5 curriculum for this Computer Science subject, and be an engaging teacher who can enthuse and motivate the children with their learning. A creative approach to teaching, and the ability to make innovative links between subjects, is required. This is a friendly and welcoming school where the staff team works extremely hard to give every child the provision they need to succeed academically, and develop well socially and emotionally.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver Computer Science teaching to KS5 with a strong focus on assessment and differentiation to enable progress.
  • Be an engaging teacher who can enthuse and motivate learners, using a creative approach to teaching and making links between subjects.
  • Contribute to a friendly and welcoming school environment where staff support students to succeed academically and develop socially and emotionally.
Requirements
  • A good degree, preferably from a Russell Group University.
  • Strong A-level results.
  • Experience in private education is preferred.
  • Candidates should have experience teaching relevant subjects to GCSE and/or A-level students.
  • Must be able to work full time.
Experience, Training and Qualifications
  • QTS and experience working in a UK Secondary school.
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training. A free safeguarding course can be undertaken with Prospero Teaching if not completed in the last 12 months.
Eligibility
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide professional references covering the last two full years.
