South West/ temporary / £80 - 90 per hour

Role: 1-1 Science Tutor (A-Level Chemistry)

Location: Bournemouth

Hours: 4 hours per week

Salary: £80-90 per hour

We are delighted to be partnering with a specialist college in Bournemouth to support a student in achieving their full potential in Science subjects. This role involves delivering personalised, high-quality tutoring sessions to a student who requires additional academic support in second year A-Level Chemistry.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver 1-1 science tutoring sessions for A-Level Chemistry.

Support learners in understanding core scientific concepts and exam techniques.

Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to track student progress.

Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning styles and abilities.

Maintain accurate records of attendance and progress.

About You

A strong background in Science (Degree or equivalent qualification required).

Experience teaching or tutoring at A-Level.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A patient, motivating, and student-centred approach.

Desirable: Teaching qualification or experience in FE or secondary education.

Essential: Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
