Do you have Team Leader experience or supervisory experience gained within a professional Claims team?

Following an internal promotion we have an opportunity in Glasgow for a Claims Team Leader to join our Accident & Health Claims team on a permanent basis.

You will Lead a team of Claims Handlers who manage a portfolio of claims across multiple line of businesses including coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation of policy liability, legal liability (where appropriate) and quantum.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coach, mentor and lead team of claim adjusters handling claims
  • Act as part of a team to ensure both Team and individual goals are met and to work with third party service providers to ensure claims service standards are maintained
  • Negotiate settlement of claims to bring them to a successful conclusion. This may involve policy holders, other professionals, insurers, loss adjusters, brokers, solicitors and third parties
  • Work within the framework of Chubb ethical and service standards
  • Represent Chubb at internal and external meetings including review meetings with brokers, key clients and London market representatives
  • Build and maintain client relationships and look after key accounts through providing timely and clear responses to correspondence received.
  • Provide general assistance and support to senior claims adjusters, managers and underwriters including projects and ad-hoc tasks as they arise.
Qualifications
  • Previous Claims management experience at Team Leader/supervisor level
  • Experience of A&H or other commercial lines claims is advantageous
  • Competent in Microsoft Office with a sound understanding of the insurance/reinsurance market (preferred)
  • Demonstration of practical and common-sense approach to dealing with situations.
  • Solid experience of claims handling in a company, or insurance broker environment.
