Job description

A&E Receptionist - Band 2

37.5 hours per week - Permanent

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our A&E reception team. Applicants should be excellent communicators with good telephone skills, able to deal with the general public daily, and possess a positive approach to customer care.

The role involves providing reception support to the clinical team within the A&E Department. Applicants must have good IT skills, work well independently and as part of a team. Flexibility is essential, as the service operates 24/7, requiring shifts that include days, evenings, and nights.

Responsibilities
  • Providing a welcoming, professional first impression for patients and healthcare professionals at the A&E reception, in person or via telephone.
  • Handling a range of enquiries courteously and efficiently.
  • Providing clerical and administrative support across all reception desks within A&E and Same Day Emergency Care.

You will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure smooth reception services. Flexibility to work various shifts is required due to the 24/7 operation.
