Accident & Emergency (A&E) Nurse

As an A&E Nurse, you will be an integral part of our Emergency Department team, providing urgent and critical care to patients experiencing various medical emergencies. Your quick decision-making skills, ability to handle high-pressure situations, and compassionate approach will ensure that patients receive timely and efficient care during their most vulnerable moments.

Pulse Nursing offers a variety of shift patterns and flexible scheduling across day and night hours in friendly and welcoming teams around the Poole & Bournemouth area.

Rates for the A&E Nurse position range from £25.00 to £35.62 per hour.

Responsibilities:
  1. Triaging patients upon arrival, assessing their condition, and prioritizing care based on severity.
  2. Administering initial treatments and interventions to stabilize patients, including life-saving measures when necessary.
  3. Monitoring and recording vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patients’ conditions.
  4. Assisting the medical team with diagnostic tests and interpreting results.
  5. Administering medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed by physicians.
  6. Initiating and maintaining intravenous access for patients requiring fluids and medications.
  7. Assisting with minor procedures, wound care, and patient immobilization.
A&E Nurse Role Requirements:
  • 6 months NMC registration.
  • 6 months experience in A&E with the ability to provide two references for verification.
  • Up-to-date CV covering 10 years of work history and skills.
  • Full EPP clearance of immunizations.
  • Proof of right to work within the UK.
