Job summary

Pulse Nursing seeks an experienced A&E nurse for assignments in London. You will work in a fast-paced environment alongside healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care and support within the A&E department.

The role offers flexible shift patterns and options for full-time equivalent hours in a reputable hospital trust. Applicants should hold NMC registration, have at least 6 months of clinical experience, and meet DBS/Occupational Health and CV requirements.

Qualifications

• NMC registration and up-to-date clinical registration.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a clinical setting, preferably A&E.
• DBS, Occupational Health clearance and updated CV per framework requirements.
• Right to work within the UK – proof required.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient examinations to assess needs.
• Administer medications and dress wounds for pain relief.
• Direct patients to appropriate departments or teams.
• Coordinate with paramedics and transfer care as needed.
• Arrange admission to hospital when required.
• Collaborate with doctors to communicate results and treatment plans.
• Report initial lab findings to A&E staff.
• Record vital signs and monitor patient observations.

Are you a Registered A&E Nurse based in London looking for some extra work? Pulse Nursing are seeking professional, experienced A&E nurses to join our team. As an A&E nurse you will be working in a fast-paced environment alongside other healthcare professionals to deliver top quality care to patients.

This current opportunity will give you the flexibility to book in advance so you can plan ahead and in turn, be in control of your schedule. With Barts being one of Pulse Nursing’s priority clients, we can offer a great deal of shifts within this trust.

We are offering a variety of shift patterns, including the option of full-time equivalent hours, in Barts Health Trust paying between £19.72 - £31.00 per hour.

Registered A&E Nurse Responsibilities Includes:

• Doing the initial patient examination to assess the patient’s needs
• Fixing dressings and administering medication for pain relief
• Determining what department the patient needs to be referred to
• Talking with the paramedics and taking over the patient’s care
• Making arrangements to admit patients into hospital if needed
• Working with doctors to keep patients and their family members updated on test results or treatment recommendations
• Maintaining contact with laboratory personnel to report any initial lab findings back to the A&E doctors
• Taking basic observations, including pulse, blood pressure and oxygen saturation

Registered A&E Nurse Requirements:

• NMC Registration 6 months
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a clinical setting
• To meet our framework compliance requirements including DBS, Occupational Health, Clinical References and Updated CV
• Right to work within the UK – Proof will be required.
