Vacancy: Mechanical Site Manager

Day rate: up to £450

Contract Length: 6 to 9 months

YCR are working with a major UK-based business that invests heavily in building and upgrading its own advanced processing facilities. They are on the lookout for an experienced and committed site manager to oversee and report on the site process.

About the Project

We’re seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a major project in Wembley, converting a large site into a fully operational food manufacturing facility. The project includes building on a steel structure and installing large industrial refrigeration units, white walls, and resin.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure project milestones are met.
  • Lead and coordinate contractors and subcontractors on-site.
  • Manage health & safety compliance and quality standards.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Support installation of major mechanical systems, including refrigeration units.
  • Drive progress on-site and ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Provide strong leadership and maintain a motivated, productive workforce.
Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience working on food industry projects (factories, processing facilities, or similar) OR strong mechanical knowledge (refrigeration, industrial installations).
  • Proven track record as a Site Manager on large-scale builds or conversions.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Committed to seeing a project through to completion.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality work and fostering teamwork.
  • Must have their SMSTS
  • First Aid Trained
