Job description

  • Annualised Hours - Bilston: 12 hours/week x 2
  • Annualised Hours – Carpenter House: 12 hours/week x 1

Other working patterns may include:

  • Full-time Peripatetic Residential Worker, requiring travel to cover shifts at Approved Premises within the locality of their cluster.
  • Full-time/Part-time Residential Worker vacancies, with allocation to a specific Approved Premise.
  • Annualised hour working pattern, either 625 or 1250 hours per year, involving a mix of standard and unsocial hours.

Please note: RW staff members cannot transfer to a different band 3 role such as PSO, as the job descriptions differ.

Responsibilities, Activities & Duties
  • Contribute to effective team practice and communication.
  • Communicate key risk issues during handovers and with partner agencies.
  • Inspect the premises regularly, record occurrences, and monitor CCTV.
  • Maintain a visible presence, engage with residents positively, and monitor their behavior.
  • Manage high-risk residents, challenge abusive or aggressive behavior appropriately.
  • Report significant risk changes and contribute to risk management plans.
  • Support residents’ sentence plan objectives through purposeful activities.
