Organisational Overview
The Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) protects people in England and Wales who may not have the mental capacity to make certain decisions for themselves, such as about their health and finance. We are an Executive Agency of the Ministry of Justice (MoJ), set up in 2007 following the introduction of the Mental Capacity Act of 2005.
OPG is responsible for registering lasting powers of attorney (LPA) and enduring powers of attorney (EPA) and supervising deputies who are appointed by the Court of Protection.

Team Overview
This is an exciting time at OPG as we transform our statutory services. You will be part of a team responsible for supporting OPG in setting a clear strategic direction, coordinating the business plan, and supporting the development of our organisational strategy. You will help build relationships and influence support for our work across MoJ and Cabinet Office.
Your role will involve developing strategies that support the Public Guardian's duties and the delivery of transformational change. You will ensure strategies are well developed, consulted upon, effectively embedded, and continuously improved through lessons learned.
This leadership role reports to the Grade 7 Head of Strategy. While there is no current line management responsibility, this may change.
This is a full-time position, with flexible working options considered.
