Overview of the job

All staff have a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. The post holder must undertake the appropriate level of training and is responsible for ensuring that they understand and work within the safeguarding policies of the organisation.

Summary

The job holder will provide administrative support within the Offender Management administrative hub, maintaining administration systems and servicing the local courts within specified timescales for the establishment.

This is a rotational, non-operational job with no line management responsibilities.

Responsibilities, Activities and Duties

The job holder will be required to carry out the following responsibilities, activities, and duties:

  1. Undertake transactional activities associated with the Offender Management function, including processing paperwork for checking and transmission by the Hub Manager, such as Discharge Reports, Bail applications, ROTL, HDC, Offender Assessment, MAPPA, Re-categorisation, Sentence calculations, Appeals, VISOR, MARAP, Adjudications, Indeterminate Sentence Prisoners, Parole applications, Legal Correspondence, License Applications, Resettlement releases, Prisoner Fines, Immigration matters, Risk to Children, Harassment Orders, Category A administration, Recall paperwork, and Public Protection.
  2. Perform administrative tasks including maintaining accurate records, acting as a contact point for communications, completing monitoring returns, inputting requisitions, coordinating awareness sessions, preparing paperwork for manager review, and corresponding with stakeholders.
  3. Maintain and check databases, filing systems, and logs, respond within timescales, and produce reports as needed.
  4. Collate information related to Service Delivery Indicators (SDIs).
  5. Act as secretary for meetings, including organising agendas, taking and distributing minutes, and following up on action points.
