Job summary

Ribble Farm Fare Ltd in Preston is seeking a part-time delivery driver for a 3-month probation period. The role involves early start times (3:00am–12:00pm on Mon/Wed/Fri) and driving a 7.5 ton wagon.

A UK/EU/EEA licence is required and applicants must be over 21 for insurance purposes. Based at the Preston depot, you will load vehicles, deliver on time with a friendly manner, sign PODs, collect payments, and assist with occasional warehouse duties.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience as a multiple drop delivery driver.
• Must hold a UK/EU/EEA driving licence and be over 21 for insurance.

Responsibilities

• Load vehicles and check items during loading.
• Make deliveries safely and on time with a friendly attitude.
• Obtain signed PODs and update delivery status.
• Occasionally collect goods from local suppliers.
• Capable of lifting heavy items and performing manual tasks.
• Report route changes to optimize costs.
• Record issues in debriefing and handle cash payments when required.
• Return products to stock with the Warehouse Manager.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
