Job summary

Ribble Farm Fare Ltd in Preston is recruiting a Delivery Driver to join our driver team. You will deliver multiple orders to customers in your area, load your van, record deliveries and temperatures, and ensure products are of the quality required.

Start time is 3am, with a finish around midday. You will be part of a friendly team, receive training, and enjoy benefits including pension contributions and a Ribble uniform.

Qualifications

• A valid UK driving licence held 12+ months with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Customer-focused with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to start early and work Saturdays.
• Desirable CPC qualification for 7.5 tonne & above; not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver orders to customers within a designated area.
• Occasionally pick up local supplier orders.
• Load van to ensure all products are present and of quality.
• Record delivery times, proofs of delivery, fridge temperatures and returns.
• Drive safely and represent Ribble brand on UK roads.
• Check vehicle condition; report needs to mechanic on site.
• Fuel the van daily.

*This job is 5 Days per Week including Saturday*

The Role

Your daily responsibilities will be:

• Delivering a number of orders to customers in a particular area.
• Occasionally pick up our local supplier orders.
• Loading your van in order to make sure all products are present and of the quality required.
• Serving with a smile, building relationships and eventually trust with your customers over a period of time.
• Driving safely and responsibly within the law. You will be representing the Ribble brand in a positive way while on UK roads.
• To accurately record data such as delivery times, proof of deliveries, fridge temperatures and returned products.
• Conducting checks on your vehicle when required to make sure it’s road worthy, although we have a full-time mechanic on site to assist.
• Filling your van up with fuel daily.

What you will need

• A valid UK/EU/EEA Driving Licence which has been held for 12+ months, with no more than 3 penalty points on.
• To be someone who is about passionate about people and always strives to deliver a quality service to your customers.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
• An ability to drive within Laws of Highway England's code.
• A CPC qualification (for 7.5 tonne & above) would be desirable given we have a number of them, although not essential for this role.

• Light Commercial Vehicle & Delivery Drivers: 1 year (preferred)
