Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking a full-time Class 2 Delivery Driver to join our Home Delivery team in Crawley, Sussex. The role operates on a 3-week rotating shift pattern with a 48-hour week and early start times from 05:00 to 06:30. Responsibilities include delivering to customers and handling furniture installations when required.

The position requires a valid UK Class 2 licence, DQC, and Tachograph Card, plus a DBS clearance. GXO offers development opportunities and a range of employee benefits.

Qualifications

• DBS clearance required.
• Full UK Class 2 driving licence, or 7.5T grandfather entitlement.
• Valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC).
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 current penalty points.
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction within the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle in full compliance with road traffic and vehicle legislation, including tachographs in line with legal and company requirements.
• Deliver products to customers, providing excellent service and ensuring all items are handled correctly; occasional handball and furniture assembly/installation if required.
• Collect and accurately log product returns during deliveries.
• Complete tachographs in compliance with legal and company requirements.
• Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle checks and promptly report any defects.
