Job summary

MEP Hire is seeking a Driver/Branch Assistant to deliver and collect equipment in a 7.5t vehicle, splitting time between the road and the branch.

You will demonstrate how to use equipment, perform daily vehicle checks, and support the branch team while upholding health and safety. You’ll meet customers, identify opportunities, and help grow our service offerings with a strong focus on customer care.

Qualifications

• 7.5t UK driving licence essential.
• Experience of multi-drop driving.
• Basic knowledge of how equipment works or willingness to learn.
• Awareness of health and safety in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Complete all deliveries and collections as allocated by line manager.
• Demonstrate equipment and ensure sound presentation of all gear.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks (oil, water, lights, tyres).
• Be alert to new business opportunities and follow up leads.
• Ensure customer and business documents are completed in full.
