Job summary

Adecco is recruiting for a 7.5 Sweeper Driver to work on assignment with our client in Charnwood. You will safely drive 7.5T street sweeping vehicles, clean designated roads and collect waste while ensuring routes are completed efficiently.

This role offers 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with overtime available, weekly pay, and a potential permanent position after 12 weeks.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence with C1 (7.5T) entitlement.
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Previous experience driving 7.5T vehicles is desirable.
• Be reliable, hardworking and safety conscious.
• Be physically fit due to the nature of the role.
• Have a positive attitude and excellent team-working skills.
• Be willing to support colleagues and go the extra mile to ensure routes are completed successfully.
• Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with members of the public.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate specialist 7.5T street sweeping vehicles
• Clean designated roads, footways, public spaces, and highways
• Remove litter, leaves, debris, and other waste materials
• Carry out bulky waste collections in accordance with operational requirements
• Lead and complete daily routes efficiently and safely
• Conduct vehicle checks and accurately report defects or maintenance issues
• Complete all required compliance documentation, including working hours and fleet records
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety procedures
• Maintain relevant licences, qualifications, and training requirements

Location: Charnwood, LE12 7AH

Pay Rate: £13.92 per hour

Job Type: Full Time | Temp to Perm | Immediate Starts Available

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:15pm (38 hours per week)

Regular overtime available (Saturday paid at T/12, Sunday paid at double time)

Task and Finish role - once your route and duties are completed, you can finish for the day while still being paid for your full scheduled shift

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established Environmental Services team delivering essential waste and recycling services to local residents and businesses across the borough. Following a successful 12-week assignment, there is the opportunity to become a permanent employee with our client.

Working alongside a dedicated team of Loaders, you'll help keep communities clean, safe and environmentally responsible while providing excellent customer service.
