Job summary

The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Driver. We are looking for an experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our client's busy distribution operation.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term role with the potential to become permanent following a successful trial period. The role involves delivering fresh food products to commercial customers, with full training provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience driving a 7.5T vehicle.
• Valid CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Valid C1 (7.5T) Licence or Category B licence obtained before 1997.
• Clean driving licence preferred.
• Experience with chilled or fresh food deliveries beneficial but not essential.
• Reliable, professional, and customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Multi-drop deliveries of fresh food products.
• Delivering to businesses across the region.
• Completing approximately 5-10 drops per day.
• Conducting daily vehicle checks.
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately.
• Providing excellent customer service.
• Adhering to all driver hours and road transport regulations.

We are looking for an experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our client's busy distribution operation. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term role with the potential to become permanent following a successful trial period.

The role involves delivering fresh food products to commercial customers, with full training provided.

The Role

As a 7.5 Tonne Driver, you will be responsible for carrying out multi-drop deliveries to businesses, ensuring products are delivered safely, professionally, and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Multi-drop deliveries of fresh food products
• Delivering to businesses across the region
• Completing approximately 5-10 drops per day
• Conducting daily vehicle checks
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately
• Providing excellent customer service
• Adhering to all driver hours and road transport regulations

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 6 months' experience driving a 7.5T vehicle

Working Pattern

• PM shifts starting at approximately 13:00
• Any 5 days out of 7
• Minimum 5 shifts per week
• Temp to Permanent opportunity for the right candidate

Pay Rates

First 12 Weeks

• £15.00 per hour (06:00 - 22:00)
• £16.15 per hour (Before 06:00 and after 22:00)

After 12 Weeks

• £15.50 per hour (06:00 - 22:00)
• £16.65 per hour (Before 06:00 and after 22:00)
