Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Northampton is recruiting for 7.5T drivers to join a two-person home delivery team delivering kitchens and bathrooms under the Wickes contract.

Starting between 04:00 and 06:00, you will work 45 hours per week from Tuesday to Saturday, with a KPI bonus and a range of employee benefits. A DBS check is required as part of the recruitment process.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid C1 driving licence.
• Valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC).
• Digital Tachograph Card required.
• No more than 6 current penalty points and no prohibited endorsements in the last 5 years.
• DBS check will be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver kitchen and bathroom flat-pack products to customers' homes.
• Provide excellent face to face customer service.
• Drive company vehicles safely and professionally.
• Complete vehicle and equipment checks before each shift.
• Work independently using initiative to solve problems and deliver customer service.
• Maintain high health and safety standards and report incidents.

Great opportunity for 7.5T drivers looking for a reliable role with a leading logistics company.

If you are a great driver who enjoys being part of a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you to join our successful two-person home delivery team in Northampton, delivering kitchens and bathrooms on behalf of our Wickes contract at GXO.

Successful colleagues will have the opportunity to join our Class 2 Driver Development Programme, designed to help you gain your Category C (Class 2) Licence through a structured internal training pathway.

You will be contracted to work 45 hours per week, starting between 04:00 and 06:00, on a shift pattern of Tuesday to Saturday.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Deliver kitchen and bathroom flat-pack products to customers' homes, including houses and flats
• Provide excellent face to face customer service to customer
• Drive company vehicles safely and professionally, in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
• Complete vehicle and equipment checks before each shift and report defects immediately
• Work independently, using initiative to solve problems and deliver excellent customer service.
• Maintain high health and safety standards, including the reporting of accidents, incidents, and damage.

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• A valid and in-date C1 driving licence
• A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
• Be in possession of a valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 current penalty points
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years
• A positive and flexible approach to work
• Successful applicant will be subject to a DBS check
