Job summary

Driver Hire Southampton is recruiting a 7.5T Driver to support healthcare facilities by transporting medical devices between decontamination facilities and hospital sites. This is a scheduled delivery and collection role (not multi-drop) with rotating 8-hour shifts and weekend work on a four-week cycle.

You will be responsible for on-time deliveries, professional hospital-site service, and thorough vehicle checks while maintaining accurate records and ensuring safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Valid 7.5T driving licence held with up-to-date CPC and tachograph card.
• Strong communication, customer service and organisational abilities.
• Demonstrated timekeeping and commitment to road safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver and collect medical devices according to scheduled routes and times.
• Provide professional, friendly customer service at hospital sites.
• Complete vehicle safety checks and report maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and complete required documentation.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including confidentiality requirements.
• Report incidents promptly and contribute to a safe working environment.

Driver Hire Southampton are recruiting for a 7.5T Driver to join our client in the healthcare sector. You will be playing a vital role in supporting healthcare professionals and hospitals by ensuring essential medical devices are transported safely, securely and on time.

Working between a decontamination facility and hospital sites, you’ll help keep vital healthcare services running smoothly. This is a scheduled delivery and collection role, not a multi-drop position, involving the movement of transport trolleys and containers.

What We Offer:

• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Contract: Full-time, permanent
• Shifts: Rotating 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday (06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00)
• Weekend working: One weekend in four (Saturday and Sunday, 10:00-18:00)

Your Responsibilities:

• Safely deliver and collect medical devices according to scheduled routes and times.
• Provide professional, friendly customer service at hospital sites.
• Complete vehicle safety checks and report maintenance issues.

What We’re Looking For:

• Knowledge of local roads is an advantage.
• Previous driving or delivery experience is desirable.
