Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a skilled 7.5 Tonne driver in the United Kingdom to join a two-person delivery team transporting B&Q products to customers' homes. You will handle multi-drop routes, keep accurate time records, and ensure safe, compliant vehicle operation.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with category C1 entitlement and up-to-date CPC.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products in a two-person team to customer premises, averaging 16 drops off-peak and 24 drops in peak.

• Operate vehicles safely and legally and ensure correct delivery documents.
• Keep customers informed of ETA and resolve issues politely.
• Ensure correct products and delivery documentation accompany each drop.

Job description

Are you a skilled 7.5 Tonne (C1) Driver looking for a new challenge with a reputable company? Are you ready to join a dynamic team where your driving expertise will be valued? Key Responsibilities

• Work as part of a two-person team delivering products to customer premises (room of choice) on multidrop basis - an average of 16 drops per day off peak and 24 drops per day in peak season.
• Maintain accurate driving/working time records using the Tachomaster system and manual entries to record all working hours as required by the WTD regulations.
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner.
• Ensure all products are checked off the vehicle and the customer receives the correct products and delivery documentation.
• Keep customers informed of their estimated time of delivery and where issues occur; communicate with them in a polite and courteous manner.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in multidrop, store deliveries preferable but not essential.
• A full UK driving licence with category C1 Entitlement.
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements).
• An up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph.
• Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to undertake pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS Check).
• Be prepared to commute to Luton (LU1 1HJ) for the required shift pattern.

Contract & Compensation

• You’ll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, following a two-week rotating shift pattern: Week 1 - Monday to Friday / Week 2 - Sunday to Thursday, with a start time at 11:00.
• An hourly rate of £15.46, that is an annual salary of £32,156.80.
• Overtime pay of £23.19 per hour (when applicable, paid over 40 hrs).
