Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking experienced Regional Class 2 Drivers for Store to Home deliveries across Milton Keynes, Peterborough and Coventry. HIAB-qualified drivers are encouraged to apply, with full-time, permanent contracts and a rotating two-week shift pattern.

Applicants must hold a UK Class 2 licence with CPC and Tachograph knowledge, a valid HIAB licence, and be prepared to commute between stores. The role includes annual CPC training and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with category C entitlement, up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph.
• No more than 6 penalty points; standard HIAB qualifications required as described.

Responsibilities

• Provide multi-drop home deliveries directly to customer rooms, averaging 16–24 deliveries per day.
• Maintain accurate driving/working time records in Tachomaster and manual entries in compliance with WTD regulations.
• Operate company vehicles safely, legally and efficiently.
• Check off products and ensure correct delivery documentation is provided to customers.
• Keep customers informed of delivery ETA and communicate any issues politely.

Job description

Here at GXO, we’re working together with B&Q and are looking for highly experienced Regional Class 2 Driver to join our Store to Home team (applications from HIAB-qualified drivers are encouraged). In this role you will support deliveries from our Milton Keynes, Peterborough and Coventry stores therefore flexibility is essential.

You’ll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, following a two-week rotating shift pattern: Week 1 - Monday to Friday/ Week 2 - Tuesday to Saturday, with start time between 07:00 and 11:00, contracted to 40hrs per week.

Pay Rates:

Class 2 Driver

• An hourly rate of £17.30, that is an annual salary of £35,984.00
• Overtime pay of £25.95 per hour (when applicable, paid over 40hrs)

Class 2 Driver (HIAB Qualified)

• An hourly rate of £18.12 that is an annual salary of £37,689.60
• Overtime pay of £27.18 per hour (when applicable, paid over 40hrs)

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Providing multi‑drop home deliveries directly to the customer’s chosen room, averaging 16 deliveries per day in quieter months and up to 24 during peak season
• Maintain accurate driving/working time records using the Tachomaster system and manual entries to record all working hours as required by the WTD regulations
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner
• Ensure all products are checked off the vehicle and the customer receive the correct products and delivery documentation
• Keep customers informed of their estimated time of delivery and where issues occur communicate with in a polite and courteous manner

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous experience in multidrop, store deliveries preferable but not essential
• A full UK driving licence with category C Entitlement with an up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)
• A valid HIAB licence with brick grab ticket (ALLMI or equivalent), where held
• Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal
• Willingness to undertake pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS Check)
• Be prepared to commute between Milton Keynes, Peterborough and Coventry stores
