Job summary

Currys in Carmarthen is seeking a 7.5T Delivery & Install Driver on a fixed term, full‑time contract. You’ll deliver and install large appliances and tech, work as a 2‑person team, and provide a friendly customer experience on every visit.

Training covers installation skills and customer care from day one. Roles include a fast-paced schedule with approximately 25 deliveries daily, pension and benefits, and a quarterly bonus.

Qualifications

• Valid UK/EA Class C1 licence with <=6 penalty points.
• CPC card (and Tachograph card preferred).
• Ability to deliver great customer service.
• Comfort working in a practical, physical role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers on time and in good condition.
• Install a range of household appliances and tech safely and professionally.
• Work in a 2-person team to move large items.
• Utilise tail lifts, sack barrows and lifting aids safely.
• Manage a multi-drop route to keep processes running smoothly.
• Create a positive experience for customers at their homes.

As a 7.5T Delivery & Install Driver, you’ll be out on the road delivering and installing large household appliances and tech; things like washing machines, fridge‑freezers and TVs. You’ll be the friendly face our customers see, helping them get set up and often making their day in the process.

What you’ll do:

• Deliver the right products to the right customers, on time
• Install a range of household appliances and tech safely and professionally
• Work as part of a 2‑person team to move and position large items
• Use equipment such as tail lifts, sack barrows and lifting aids to work safely
• Drive a multi‑drop route and keep everything running smoothly
• Create a positive, friendly experience every time you step into a customer’s home

This is a busy, hands‑on role. You’ll typically complete around 25 deliveries a day, with 8–10 of those involving installations in customers’ homes. No two days are the same, and you’ll finish each shift knowing you’ve made a real difference.

Yes, you’ll need to enjoy driving and being on the road, but you’ll need to love helping customers too. Our training will cover everything you need; from installation skills to customer care so you’ll feel confident and supported from day one.

You will need:

• A full Class C1 UK/EA licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• CPC card (and ideally) Tachograph card.
• A passion for delivering great customer service.
• To be comfortable working in a practical, physical role.
