Driver Hire Reading - Driver Position

Driver Hire Reading is currently looking for a Driver to work with our client in Reading. Our client is the UK’s leading home improvement and garden living retailer, and they require a 7.5T Driver (Cat C1) for ongoing work.

The role involves starting shifts at 7am, 8am, or 11am, each lasting 8 hours. The working schedule is Sunday to Friday in week 1, then Sunday to Thursday in week 2, alternating weekly.

Responsibilities

• Driving a 7.5T vehicle, assisting the experienced driver in making deliveries to residential addresses in the South of England.

Pay Rates

• £16.00 per hour (Basic rate)
• £25.00 per hour (Sunday rate)

These rates are paid on a PAYE basis and include holiday pay in advance.

Note: There is a minimum of 8 hours pay per shift.

Candidate Requirements

• A full and valid UK driving licence with CAT C1 entitlement.
• No more than 6 points (minor offences only).
• Current and valid CPC and Digi-Tacho cards.
• Previous commercial driving experience.
• References attesting to driving capability.
• Appropriate PPE (Safety shoes & Hi-viz).
