Job summary

Flexible People Ltd are recruiting 7.5t Home delivery drivers for a well known client based in Moss End. You will work with a Driver Mate to deliver large goods to residential properties, including TVs, furniture, gym equipment and white goods.

Applicants must be physically fit, hold a valid UK License, CPC and Digitacho, and have no more than six points. Training is provided; a driving assessment and exams precede induction, with potential for a full-time contract after 12 weeks.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid UK driving license, CPC and Digitacho.
• No more than 6 points; no DD/DR/NI convictions.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy goods.
• Willing to work 5–6 days including weekends with a rota.
• Drug tests may be carried out during assessment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver large goods to residential properties with a Driver Mate.
• Follow 06:00 start, shift lengths 9–11 hours.
• Provide safe handling and good customer service.
• Complete driving assessment and highway code/tacho exam.

Job description

Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting 7.5t Home delivery drivers for a well known client of ours, based in Moss End.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a multi-national organization, with the potential for growth and opportunities.

This role involves working with a Drivers Mate to deliver large goods to residential properties. The type of goods you will be delivering are TV's, flat pack furniture, gym equipment, white goods, sofas, beds etc.

Due to the weight of the products you are delivering you MUST be physically fit.

The company offer the customer a 'room of choice' delivery, you will be fully trained on how to do this.

Upon successful application, all new drivers are subject to a driving assessment and multiple choice highway code/tacho exam. This will then be followed the next day with a subsequent induction day.

The company operate 7 days a week, you will be offered a 5 or 6 day rota. Weekend work will be involved.

Shift timings are 06.00 start, shifts last roughly 9-11hours.

Pay rate - £17.15 per hour including holiday pay.

Overtime rate - (After 48 hours) - £22.97 per hour.

After 12 weeks, you can be offered a contract directly with the company. Once you become a full time member of staff, you will be entitled to an award-winning range of benefits including-

Our client will happily accept newly qualified drivers. Please note that drug tests can be carried out at anytime, at the clients discretion. A drug test will also be carried out at assessment.
