Job description

Job Opportunity: 7.5t Delivery Driver

Driver Hire Chester and North Wales are recruiting for 2x 7.5t Delivery Drivers to work for our clients based in Chester.

This is ongoing work initially for approximately 7 weeks, starting from mid-April until the end of May.

Responsibilities:

• Driving a 7.5t Curtain Side vehicle, delivering a range of products from a DIY store.

Training will be provided over 2 days, including a Driving Assessment and SSOW.

Working Hours:

Shifts typically last between 8-10 hours, with options including:

• Tuesday to Saturday, starting at 11:00, finishing around 19:00.
• Monday to Friday, starting at 11:00, finishing around 19:00.

Requirements:

• C1 category entitlement on your licence, held for at least 12 months.
• Experience driving a 7.5t delivery truck in an urban environment.
• Knowledge and experience using a tail lift, pump truck, and maintaining good health and fitness.
• Excellent customer service skills, as you will interact with customers daily.
• Comfortable using a PDA.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tacho Card.

Rates:

• Basic rate: £13.25 or £14.85 with advanced pay.
• Saturdays: £19.87 or £22.26 with advanced pay.
