John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Driver Technician Trainee to join our delivery team in the UK. You will train for 3 months to become a fully qualified Customer Delivery Technician with a C1 driving licence, delivering and installing products at customers' homes as part of a two-person crew.
Role involves heavy lifting and 41 hours per week on a rotating schedule. Prior customer-facing experience and a valid B category licence with few points are essential.
Due to the nature of this role, applicants must be 18 years or over to apply.As a Driver Technician Trainee, you'll be supported through our extensive 3-month trainee programme to become a fully qualified John Lewis Customer Delivery Technician with a C1 driving licence.
Once you're fully trained, you'll have the unique opportunity of bringing our distinctive John Lewis service right to our customers' door and installing the products they love into their homes (such as furniture, large electrical appliances, sound systems and TV sets) as part of a 2-person delivery crew.
Due to the nature of these roles, we require all applicants to be 18 or over by their start date.
Please note that this role involves heavy lifting. You will spend a lot of time delivering large items such as sofas, white goods, sports equipment, furniture, beds, and mattresses.
Full time vacancy 41 hours a week, working 4 days a week, on a 5 week rota AM shift- Monday-Saturday 06:00-17:00 PM shift Monday-Friday 10:30-21:30 & Saturday 07:00-18:00
