7.5 Tonne Driver - Permanent

Location: Leamington Spa, Warwickshire (CV34).

Average pay: £16.00 per hour (approx. £41,000 per annum).

Hours: 50 hrs per week, Monday-Friday, start at 06:00, finish 16:00‑17:00.

Shift pattern
  • Monday to Friday
  • Start time: 06:00
  • Typical finish between 16:00 – 17:00
  • Flat hourly rate for all hours worked.
Role

As a 7.5t Driver, you will be responsible for multi‑drop deliveries of boxed chickens and farm produce to independent butchers and wholesalers. This hands‑on role requires good customer service and safe handling of goods.

Key duties include:
  • Operating a 7.5t vehicle with tail lift, electric pump truck, sack barrow or hand pump.
  • Delivering farm produce to butchers shops.
  • Breaking down pallets and handballing boxes (10‑20 boxes per customer depending on orders).
  • 10‑15 drops daily; regular routes with butchers often located on the same street.
  • Delivery areas include local routes as well as major towns such as London, Bradford, Birmingham and surrounding regions.
  • Occasional cash collections (approx. 10% of deliveries).
  • Ensuring all Tacho regulations are followed, including a 45‑minute break.
Requirements
  • Valid C1 (7.5t) driving licence.
  • Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Previous multi‑drop experience preferred.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Physically fit and comfortable with handballing boxes.
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional.
