Job summary

Workchain is recruiting a reliable 7.5 Tonne Driver for a permanent day-shift role in Somerset, servicing multi-drop deliveries from a steel fabrication business around Street and Bridgwater area.

You will drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle, manage 10+ drops per route, load/unload safely, and complete paperwork and checks. A valid 7.5-tonne licence, good time-management and customer service are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in a 7.5-tonne driving role.
• Proven multi-drop delivery experience with 10+ drops preferred.
• Valid licence to drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
• Safe loading/unloading knowledge.
• Strong time-management and organisational skills.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious approach.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

About the role

A permanent opportunity is available for an experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to support deliveries from a steel fabrication business. This is a day-shift role involving regular multidrop work and over 10 deliveries per route.

Key responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle
• Complete multidrop deliveries efficiently and professionally
• Make more than 10 deliveries per route where required
• Load, unload and handle goods safely
• Complete delivery paperwork and vehicle checks
• Provide a reliable and courteous service to customers
• Follow all relevant road safety and company procedures

Skills and qualifications

• Experience in a 7.5-tonne driving role
• Proven experience completing multidrop deliveries, ideally 10 or more drops
• The appropriate licence to drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle
