Overview

Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for 7.5 Tonne Drivers to join our well-established client based in Mossend. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-known supplier of household goods with plenty of ongoing work available.

Immediate start dates available!

Working Monday - Friday. May need to cover the odd weekend.

£15.44 PH

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive various class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly.
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
• Maintain accurate records of shipment, mileage, and fuel consumption.
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management.
• Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK C1 Licence
• Have a minimum of 12 months experience driving a C1 vehicle
• No more than 6 penalty points and no major endorsement codes
• Have an in-date UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
• Must be able to speak and read a certain level of English
• Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
• Effective communication skills
• Flexibility and availability to work overtime as and when required
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
