Job summary

DPD Portsmouth is hiring a 7.5 Tonne Collection and Delivery Driver in Havant. You will operate a 7.5 Tonne vehicle on local routes with around 40–50 stops daily, ensuring accurate deliveries and top-notch customer service.

The role uses Saturn handhelds to track progress and optimize routes. We offer Monday to Friday work, a starting window of 07:00–08:30, and a pay rate of £16.05 per hour with enhanced overtime.

Qualifications

• A valid 7.5 Tonne (C1) licence and DQC/CPC accreditation.
• Ideally 6 months recent driving experience handling 7.5 Tonne vehicles.
• Professional, approachable vibe and strong safety mindset.

The Role

We’re looking for someone to take the wheel and own a designated local route. • Drive the Vibe: Get behind the wheel of a 7.5 Tonne vehicle. You’ll be cruising local routes, keeping it safe, professional, and efficient.
• Master the Tech: No paper maps here. You’ll use our industry-leading Saturn handheld devices. It’s basically your mission control for tracking progress, managing deliveries, and staying ahead of the game.
• The Main Character Energy: You’re the friendly face our customers see every day. Whether it’s a quick "hello" or a helpful drop-off, your energy defines the DPD experience.
• The Hustle: You’ll be loading and unloading parcels, using high-end gear like sack barrows and hand trucks to handle the heavy lifting safely. Think of it as a paid workout while you’re on the move.
