Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have SAP experience for at least 66kV in either Onshore Wind Renewables, large scale infrastructure or HV Electrical Projects and will be based in Scotland and happy to travel throughout the country and have experience with on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the routine activities for HV switching operations up to and including 66kV
  • Schedule annual HV preventative maintenance for sites at convenient times, including for
  • BOP and Wind Turbine HV equipment
  • Ensure works are completed to the highest standard of safety
  • Writing and completing risk assessments and method statements
  • Ensure stock is held and maintained to facilitate efficient repair turnarounds
  • Attending sites including out of hours where necessary, when failures occur to establish the
  • root cause and complete repair works in a safe and timely manner

Requirements

  • SAP for at least 66kV
  • Health and Safety focus with up to date knowledge of relevant H&S legislation
  • Able to work effectively under pressure
  • Experience writing Risk assessments and Method statements for HV preventative maintenance
  • Experience completing IR, Winding resistance and TTR tests on transformers (50kVA - 3000 kVA) and with completing VLF testing on HV cables
  • Experience locating underground cable faults and with completing IR testing on underground cables
  • Experience operating and performing preventative maintenance on a variety of HV switchgear
  • Based in Scotland and able to work on an on-call out of hours rota basis
