Job summary

Confidential Careers is recruiting for an Assistant Financial Accountant in Leeds on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The role sits in the Group Finance team with exposure to core accounting, financial reporting, controls, budgeting and audit activities.

Key duties include reconciliations, intercompany activity, month-end processes, and support for budget and forecasting. Applicants should be part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or qualified by experience and possess strong analytical and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA status or qualified through experience.
• Experience in a finance or accounting environment.
• Strong reconciliation and balance sheet accounting experience.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and reconcile multiple bank accounts and intercompany balances.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Process monthly accruals, prepayments and journals; support overhead accounting.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and year-end processes.
• Support internal controls reviews and SOX-related activities where applicable.
