An opportunity has arisen for a Female Companion Support Assistant to provide essential support to a fun-loving lady with Autism. This role involves accompanying her on various social activities such as trips to the gym, shopping, and assisting with cooking. A Female Companion Support Assistant is required for 10 hours per week to accompany and support a 34 year old lady who has Autism with her social activities and life skills.
The hours are two 5-hour shifts per week. Trips include the gym, shopping, cinema, walks, and assisting with cooking. The lady often needs prompting and can at times be challenging, but is also fun-loving and is looking for someone like-minded.
There will be some Saturday work accompanying the lady to football matches in Nottingham, as well as shopping trips to places like York, Leeds, and Manchester.
It is essential that the applicant must have a full driving licence and have use of a reliable car.
Pay is £12.10 an hour, with mileage at 45p a mile (when the lady is in the car).
The activities include: shopping, going to the gym, and support with cooking and life skills.
Exception under the Equality Act (2010): the post is only open to females due to the personal assistance required.
A DBS is required for this position.
