Job summary

Williams F1 Team is seeking a Pattern Shop Machinist to join our Manufacturing team, responsible for machining high-precision patterns and carbon components that support the development and production of our race cars.

You will set up and machine patterns, jigs and carbon components using advanced 5-axis machining centres, reading drawings and delivering parts right first time to tight deadlines. This role runs a day shift, Monday to Thursday.

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent engineering experience.
• Experience operating 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centres.
• Strong understanding of engineering materials and machining processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently while contributing within a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and machine patterns, jigs and carbon components to drawings.
• Operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centres efficiently.
• Self-inspect to ensure quality and accuracy of parts.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, inspection and technical teams to solve challenges.
• Maintain accurate work orders and production data.
• Support smooth shift handovers and continuous workflow.
