Barnsley Hospital is seeking a Lead Advanced Clinical Practitioner who will strategically lead the Advancing Practice agenda. This role involves service development, supervision of Advanced Clinical Practitioners, and engagement in workforce planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical practice and demonstrated leadership in managing change and quality development.
This role banding is subject to review through job evaluationin line with the newly published national nursing profiles.

We are seeking to appoint a Lead Advanced ClinicalPractitioner (Band 8B) within Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
This is a new and excitingopportunity to strategically lead the Advancing Practice agenda across theTrust, which will include taking a leading role service development, provisionof supervision, performance management,and professional development for all ACPs, employed within the Trust.
Our ideal candidate will have astrong background and experience in Advanced Clinical Practice and a passionfor leading service development, workforce planning, innovation in roledevelopment and have a proven track record with experience in leading changeand quality development. It is essential that postholder has a collaborativeapproach to their portfolio and able to engage with all ACPs employed withinthe Trust.
The successful applicant with be anestablished leader able to demonstrate success in service design and delivery.They will already be at Advance Clinical Practitioner level in an establishedservice. The successful applicant must have completed a full MSc in AdvancedClinical Practice and have consolidated fully both academically and clinically.The post holder will have a demonstrable clinical portfolio that evidencesclinical skills equivalent to that of a senior clinical member of staff.
The postholder will work 0.4 WTE as the Trust Lead ACP at band 8b and 0.6 WTE in their substantive ACP role.
As the Trust lead ACP you willbe the Trust expert resource on all issues relating to Advanced ClinicalPractice, you will develop and lead the ACP community in the Trust includingPractice forums, Education and Research, ensuring that all ACPs are equipped toreach potential in their role, performing at the highest possible level.
The postholder willjoin the Workforce Development and Student Support Team, contributing to theirworkplan and operational group in their lead role. Reporting to the AssociateDirector of Professionas Workforce Lead.
