My client is an award-winning, respected financial and investment management consultancy with a long track record of success and quality of service. Operating across the UK with an outstanding client base, an exciting opportunity has arisen in the Leeds Head Office. The role is a 6 month interim position to provide support to the management accounts team while some key staff are seconded on projects.

Reporting to the Financial Controller your role will be varied but will include:

  • Production of monthly management accounts
  • Detailed variance analysis to budget and previous period
  • Analysis of periodic performance by subsidiary, region, cost centre and revenue stream
  • Month-end commercial commentary
  • Month end balance sheet reconciliations
  • Quarterly VAT returns for a number of Group companies
  • Ensuring compliance within a regulated environment

The successful candidate will be:

  • An experienced finance professional - either qualified or with strong experience within financial services / regulated environments
  • An effective communicator and able to support and develop less experienced colleagues
  • Strong systems & organisational skills to manage large data volumes where data integrity is key
