Job summary

Workforce Staffing is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in Worcester on a 4 on, 4 off rotating day and night shift, with a £50,000 per annum salary. The role focuses on electrical and mechanical maintenance of modern manufacturing equipment to minimise downtime.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, read electrical drawings, and contribute to continuous improvement while ensuring Health & Safety and Food Safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing maintenance role.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with PLC-controlled machinery (Siemens preferred).
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Experience completing planned preventative maintenance schedules.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with maintenance software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and site equipment.
• Respond quickly to electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs in a safe and efficient manner.
• Read and work from electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Complete maintenance records and shift handover reports accurately.
• Support production teams to reduce downtime and improve performance.
• Assist with root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures.
• Work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Support contractors on site and ensure site procedures are followed.
• Maintain a clean and organised working area.
• Undertake any other reasonable engineering duties as required.
