This Position reports to: Senior Test Engineer

Work model: Onsite

This role contributes to the test equipment in Pinetops, NC. Main stakeholders are EL,ELDS,DSUSGC.

Your role and responsibilities
  • Oversees execution of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of testing validation equipment.
  • Collaborates with the Engineering team to define maintenance plans for new testing equipment, and consults on ways to improve reliability, maintainability and safety of the existing testing equipment.
  • Performs daily/weekly/monthly/annual test equipment calibrations.
  • Manages and updates technical documentation of testing equipment and maintains detailed test equipment calibration records and work instructions.
  • Solves major technical, equipment, or facilities problems in order to achieve higher performance of the production lines.
  • Maintains tools and repairs equipment in good working condition.
  • Proposes improvement projects for testing equipment aimed at reducing ordinary and extraordinary maintenance and optimizing operational and energy efficiency.
  • Responds to emergencies, breakdowns, malfunctions, and other operating problems to minimize disruption in the production / validation process.
  • Performs preventative maintenance operations on testing/validation equipment.
Qualifications for the role
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance field
  • Minimum of 2-year associate degree in electrical technology or equivalent fields preferred
  • Sound knowledge of OSHA, lock out tag out (LOTO), electrical theory, PLC, automation, AC/DC circuits, power and control circuits, NFPA 70E, low and high voltage
  • Written and verbal communication in the English language
  • Must be able to work in the United States
