Responsibilities

• The Third Officer acts as the designated officer for lifesaving (LSA) and firefighting (FFA) appliances, ensuring all safety equipment remains in a constant state of readiness per SOLAS requirements.
• Reporting to the Master and Chief Officer, this role involves maintaining a safe navigational watch, managing mooring parties, and preparing vessel documentation for port arrivals and departures.
• The officer also maintains signaling apparatus such as flags, lights, and halyards.
