Qualifications

  • Experience in diverse IT support roles (3rd Line Engineer, Senior IT Engineer).
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and networking solutions.
  • Technical support capabilities and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 3rd line technical support to business users and IT systems.
  • Maintain and resolve incidents for supported hardware and applications.
  • Ensure service level commitments are met in all resolutions.

Salary: Up to circa £40,000 depending on skills & experience

What You'll Do

Working within the Support team, the Service Desk Engineer provides 3rd line technical support and maintenance to all supported IT business users, systems, hardware, and applications. Whilst providing expert technical support, the Service Desk Engineer will ensure incidents and requests are resolved in an efficient and professional manner in line with service level commitments.

We're looking for someone with

  • Configuring and maintaining servers (Windows servers)
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure and AWS
  • Strong understanding of the Microsoft product stack, including Microsoft 365 products
  • Managing virtualised environments (VMware and Hyper-V)
  • Application and Desktop virtualisation (Citrix)
  • Backup and recovery maintenance (MS Office, Backup Exec, Veeam)
  • Networking (including switching, VLAN's, routing and remote access)
  • Experience working with Extreme Networks, Cisco and Sophos.
  • Firewalls and DMZ/permitter security solutions
  • Managing Cyber-Defence products (Sophos product suite; Endpoint/Firewalls/MDR Integrations)
