PLEASE NOTE

This role is a step towards enabling 24x7 3 rd line support for our customers. Initially, you will be working early and late shifts on rotation. These will be 7am – 3:30pm and 2:30pm – 10pm Wednesday to Sunday. This has the potential to transition to a 4-day shift pattern at the end of the contract period, rotating between dayshifts and nightshifts, with each shift consisting of 12 hours.

As 3rd Line Network and Security Engineer, you'll beresponsible for:

  • Troubleshooting and resolve technical issues for our customers, both managed and support
  • Designing and implement config changes requested by managed customers
  • Managing ticket updates to all customers, 3rd parties and Vendors through to resolution
  • Providing training and knowledge sharing via documentation and team whiteboard sessions
  • Authoring customer network health checks, including config best practice recommendations, capacity management and lifecycle recommendations

We'd love you to have

  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Motivation to learn and share your own knowledge.
  • Cisco certification – CCNA with experience as a minimum, CCNP preferred.
  • Strong technical skills with other key vendors – Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, Aruba, F5 all advantageous.
  • The ability to manage yourself effectively under pressure.
  • Good time management, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment to meet SLA's
