Are you a Senior IT Support Engineer with client-facing experience? Do you have experience working with Windows Server 2008-2019 and Virtualisation? Are you comfortable working on new implementations, projects, and BAU tasks?

Role: We have a client-facing 3rd Line IT Support role with a UK MSP. We seek versatile engineers experienced in multiple technology environments who enjoy both BAU and project work. Excellent communication skills are essential as you will work on/off-site, with no more than one overnight stay per quarter. Knowledge of Hyper V, Office 365, Azure AD, Windows Server, and Firewalls/Security is required.

Additional skills such as VMWare, Cisco networking, PowerShell scripting, and Power BI/reporting are desirable but not mandatory.

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical expertise in Windows Server 2008-2019, Hyper V, Office 365, Networking, Firewalls
  • Delivering excellent customer service
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Managing hardware and software assets
  • Designing, building, and deploying server architecture with documentation
  • Analyzing resource usage and planning for future needs
  • Monitoring performance against service targets and taking corrective actions
  • Establishing strong customer partnerships
  • Serving as a point of escalation for support calls

Personality, motivation, and teamwork are crucial. Understanding the business context and being proactive to influence change are valued traits.

Salary & Benefits: Up to £45,000, pension, free parking. The office is modern and accessible from Leicester, Loughborough, and Nottingham. The role is primarily office-based.

Requirements: You must have the right to work in the UK, with at least 3 years of UK work experience, and the client does not provide sponsorship.
