The Role

Within our Database Administration team at Kyndryl, you'll manage and administer our technological infrastructure, shaping system definitions, structures, and documentation to ensure long-term success.

Your responsibilities include configuring, installing, and maintaining database management systems, managing user access, and implementing security standards to protect data.

You will develop backup and recovery plans, support end users and developers, and implement policies to safeguard data from external threats. Capacity planning and scalability to meet business needs are also part of your role.

You will collaborate with various teams to coordinate database projects aligned with organizational goals and propose enhancements to improve system performance and reliability.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Over 5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle, including HA/DR technologies.
• Experience with Windows Server or Linux, and some experience in both.
• Supporting databases on MS Azure (PaaS and IaaS).
• Database migration experience to cloud platforms.
• Experience working directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to achieve SC & NPPV3 Clearances.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Experience with MySQL, MariaDB, Db2, PostgreSQL.
• Supporting databases on Amazon AWS.
• Supporting multiple customers and domains.
• Using automation to improve administrative efficiency.
