3rd Line Cloud Support Network Engineer (DV CLEARED)

  • Contract Type: Contractor
  • Location: Basingstoke fully on site (Travel to customer site required)
  • Rate: £500 per day inside IR35
  • Working Pattern: Shift Working (0700 – 1500 or 1100 – 1900)
  • Clearance Required: DV Clearance active
  • Target Start Date: ASAP
  • Target End Date: 6 months from Start Date

Join the team as a 3rd Line Cloud Support Network Engineer. This role is crucial for assisting a high-profile user community, involving daily interactions with customers and stakeholders, and utilising IT Service Management Toolsets. Monitoring of Event Management tooling, triage, and escalation are critical aspects of this position.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist in the monitoring and management of network operations using Event Management tooling.
  • Provide high-level technical support and troubleshooting for network issues.
  • Engage daily with customers and stakeholders using the IT Service Management Toolset.
  • Triage and escalate issues as necessary to ensure rapid resolution.
  • Maintain and manage network security protocols and configurations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with VCenter NSX-T.
  • Experience with Cisco Firepower Management Centre.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS.
  • Familiarity with Cisco ISE.
  • Experience with Juniper Switches & JUNOS.
  • Ability to use SolarWinds for network monitoring.
  • Understanding of Active Directory and Windows Servers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
