Job Description:

Amazon is seeking an experienced 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) Manager to oversee the strategic operations and performance of our third-party logistics provider network. You will be responsible for ensuring our 3PL partners meet high standards across operational performance, cost management, continuous improvement, change management, network integration, escalation processes, and provider relationship management. The role requires up to 40% travel to local 3PL sites and Amazon facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Performance Management: Establish and lead performance management processes, identify deviations, develop corrective actions, and provide feedback.
2. Cost Management: Understand 3PL business cases, identify cost-saving opportunities, and influence cost improvements.
3. Continuous Improvement: Apply methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma to optimize operations and set higher benchmarks.
4. Change Management: Implement top-down and bottom-up changes to align operations with Amazon standards.
5. Network Integration: Coordinate support with internal management and align 3PL sites with Amazon's fulfillment network.
6. Escalation: Identify and escalate critical issues, prepare reports, and participate in leadership calls.
7. Vendor Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with 3PL providers, internal leadership, and the broader network.

Basic qualifications:

• 4+ years in logistics, operations, or supply chain management with progression
• Bachelor's or higher in STEM, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Administration
• Willingness to travel up to 40%

Preferred qualifications:

• Proven expertise in operational excellence and process improvements
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics
• Knowledge of lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience in negotiation, contract management, and influencing providers
• Ability to develop initiatives and establish effective support exchanges with senior management
• Advanced degree or MBA preferred
