Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in the UK is seeking a professional in Functional Engineering & R&T within the One PLM Product Service Line to deliver a harmonised IT/IS toolset for aircraft development, manufacturing, and support services.

You will report to the Head of Product and help drive discovery, design, and implementation of IT solutions aligned with the Digital strategy while supporting the Product Manager and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in functional architecture, project management, solution engineering or another relevant field.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge in Design or MBSE, architectural mock-up generation.
• Previous experience leading a project from start to finish and delivering results.
• Knowledge of IT tools customization and architecture, IT and business strategy alignment, IT product design and product development, IT business change management.

Responsibilities

• Conducting in-depth discovery meetings to understand customer requirements and automation opportunities.
• Identifying areas for improvement in business processes with IT solutions.
• Supporting the IT Product Manager in product/service planning.
• Producing documentation of challenges, requirements, and benefits for customers.
• Defining and developing specification documents for stakeholders and product teams.
• Designing technical/functional architecture of the proposed solution.
• Providing expertise on business processes and change management for reengineering initiatives.
• Following the full software development life cycle from research to support.
