Job Description:

Our client is expanding and seeking a talented 3D Technical Designer with SketchUp experience to join their Projects team at Farnborough. This full-time, permanent role involves collaborating with Project Managers to create 3D technical drawings, 2D schematics, and cut files for exhibition displays.

The role offers diverse projects, requiring passion for design, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Training will be provided for specific frameworks and processes.

Responsibilities include:

• Interpreting 3D renders and briefs into T3 Framework (training provided)
• Producing artwork templates for print-ready artwork
• Creating construction drawings for effective stand assembly
• Generating 2D schematics and cut files for fabrication
• Preparing parts lists
• Collaborating with Project Managers and production teams to ensure timely deliverables

Requirements and Skills:

• Experience with 3D CAD, especially SketchUp (preferred but not mandatory)
• Knowledge of construction substrates and draftsmanship/2D CAD
• AutoCAD knowledge is a plus
• Initiative, efficiency under pressure, problem-solving, and attention to detail
• Teamwork skills
• Experience in the exhibition industry is advantageous but not essential
