Job Description:

Our client is expanding and seeking a talented 3D Technical Designer with SketchUp experience to join their Projects team at their Farnborough headquarters. If you’re an ambitious, confident self-starter eager to be part of a growing creative company, this full-time, permanent role could be ideal for you.

As a 3D Technical Designer, you will collaborate with Project Managers to create exhibition displays. Using input from Creative and Sales teams, you’ll produce 3D technical drawings, 2D schematics, and cut files to ensure flawless delivery of displays.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret 3D renders and briefs into T3 Framework (training provided)
• Create accurate artwork templates for print production
• Develop construction drawings for effective stand assembly
• Produce 2D schematics and cut files for fabrication
• Generate accurate parts lists
• Collaborate with Project Managers to meet deadlines
• Support production with CAD drawings

Requirements and Skills:

• Experience in 3D CAD, especially SketchUp (beneficial but not mandatory)
• Strong technical knowledge, especially in construction and substrates
• Draftsmanship and 2D CAD skills
• Knowledge of AutoCAD (a plus)
• Initiative and problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail
• Teamwork skills
• Experience in the Exhibition industry is preferred but not essential; training provided
